Akron Vs Temple (Under 55)

Temple had some shoot-outs late in the season last year, between that and this pass-happy matchup I think the # is a bit too high. But Temple played a different tune to start the season in 2022 with score totals averaging only 31.8 pts/game in their 1st 5 matchups. These teams both like to throw it a ton ranking 7th & 8th in passes/game but Akron plays at a slower pace than Temple, averaging almost 10 less offensive plays/game. Akron also has trouble protecting their QB, getting sacked @ a 9.55% rate (ranked 115th) which will not fare well against a Temple defense with a 8.85% sack rate (ranked 11th).

Both teams also struggled a bit with INT's, averaging outside the top 65 in INT thrown %.

I like the fact that Akron is only hitting FGs @ a 63.16% clip as well, especially in a matchup I think the total could get close.
